Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Former U.S. Plywood factory on the south shore of Salmon Bay, immediately east of the Ballard Bridge, Seattle, Washington, seen from a boat. Early evening. This was the last sawmill in Seattle to close (1985). Until then, the open area of water seen here was usually full of floating logs, with floating walkways between them. Since 1985, portions of the former factory have served a variety of purposes, ranging from fish storage to use as a video studio.
This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: lightened everything except sky.
